The Salon is luxurious, bright and welcoming!!!

When I walk through the door I am always greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly smile.

I am then taken upstairs to the salon and showed to my chair. The salon is always immaculately clean and tidy and luci stamps her vibrant personality on everything from the flower arrangements in the windows, to the staff wearing smart, black clothing with bright cheerful lipstick!!!

Dana is my usual stylist. She always remembers things we have discussed in the past and even remembers my children names! A Lovely touch i’m sure you would agree?!

I am always asked how I would like my hair to be done, the shades I like the look of etc.

I really enjoy seeing the delight on all the other customers faces when their hair is finished!

The Stylists work very hard and always produce marvellous creations!!

I could never go anywhere else to have my hair done. I trust Luci and her team to look after me and I happily recommend Luci’s salon to all my friends, family and work colleagues!!!

The Beehive has been massive this year. Adele has really made this look her own and almost become the face of it. Its easier then it looks, you will need pins, a comb and a LOT of hairspray! Taking small sections, backcomb each one individually, starting at the root. Spray each section individually. When you have done all your hair, smooth over with a brush and pin at the back. Again, use more hairspray. Don’t forget to have a good conditioning treatment ready for the morning after!

Does a bouncy, glossy blow dry ever go out of style? Not at Christmas anyway, that’s for sure! You will obviously benefit from your hairdressers upper body strength for this look, but if you are going to try it from home, remember this is nothing without your styling products. Dry the hair upside down to get body at the roots and use your straighteners/curling wand to get your ends looking flowy. Finish with- you guessed it- Hairspray!

The ponytail is perfect for the straight after work drinks. Its not just for the gym you know! It makes a powerful impact and I say the higher the better! If you want to go a little lower, why not try back combing the front section for a little quiff and a take on the rock a billy trend.

We always come back to Kerastase. We recommend  Masquintense from the Nutritive range.  The Nutritive range is all about giving the hair back moisture, leaving it soft and beautiful and the Masquintense is the cult product. Available both for fine and thick hair (be sure to get the right one!). Here’s a little tip for you; when Kerastase launched their range, all their tubs act as both an everyday conditioner and a mask- it just depends how you use them. They all start working straight away and the longer you leave them on, the more intense the treatment. A  little trick is to towel dry your hair before you apply- this allows your hair to literally absorb it easier. Clip it up and leave for a couple of hours and then rinse.

If you a fan of Au Naturel then these looks are perfectfor you. The key to this look is flawless skin, so base and concealer are your key tools, accompanied with a soft blush. For simple yet defined eyes try using a white liner on the waterline. This will instantly brighten up the eye area. Defined eyebrows keep this looking young and fresh. Make up Artist tip-  use a brow powder for a  more natural and finish then pencil. Then darken with a dark brown or black mascara if you’re feeling adventurous.

Earth tones are a big hit this season and compliment most skin tones. This look really reminds me of the early 90′s, but this time the skin is luminous and natural. Try using soft brown eye shadow and smudgeliner around the lash line; this creates a soft yet smoulderinglook to your eyes.

If you’re a fan of colour then try adding a dark blue eyeshadow to you Smokey eyes, very effective and very glam. I love this look and I’m not surprised to see it. It’s very 1970′s, which as we know has been a big influence in 2011. It takes a bit of confidence- but the effect is totally worth it. Make up Artist tip- eye primer is essential here to keep this look in place all night.

When it comes to lips you can go bare or bold. Personally, I’m loving bold colours this season, whatever your wearing astrong lip colour finishes off you look. Its the perfect work – to -bar transformation too. A slick of red never goes out of season (as we will tell you!). Also brick or plumb to keep on trend.
